I korthet

Vi är Tale Forge AB, ett litet svenskt företag i Värnamo (org.nr 559543-1122). Vi gör personliga bilderböcker för ert barn.

Ni berättar ett förnamn, ett åldersspann och ett språk, och kan om ni vill beskriva hur hjälten ser ut och ladda upp ett foto. Vi använder AI-tjänster för att skriva och illustrera. Ni kan se allt vi har och radera allt från ert konto. Vill ni rätta något, som ett felstavat namn, mejlar ni oss så fixar vi det. Vi säljer aldrig era uppgifter.

Vad vi samlar in

Barnets förnamn, ett åldersspann (ett intervall, inte ett födelsedatum) och önskat språk. De beskrivningar av hjälten och vännen som ni skriver. Ett foto som ni kan välja att ladda upp (se nedan). Det målade porträttet och de färdiga böckerna. Er e-postadress, för inloggning och för att kunna nå er. Ljudet när sagan läses upp sparas i boken.

Fotot

Om ni laddar upp ett foto skickas det en gång till Google (eller Amazon som reserv) för att måla ett porträtt. Vi sparar aldrig originalfotot på våra servrar, och enligt våra avtal med Google och Amazon får de inte spara fotot eller använda det för att träna sin AI. Det som sparas är den färdiga målningen, i barnets bok.

Ni kan prova porträttet innan ni skapar ett konto. Då skickas fotot en gång för målning och ingenting sparas hos oss; fotot ligger bara kvar på er egen enhet tills ni är klara. Först när ni skapar konto och ger ert samtycke sparas porträttet och boken.

Vem behandlar uppgifterna

Några företag hjälper oss bakom kulisserna (våra underbiträden enligt GDPR):

• Supabase, databas och lagring (EU).
• Microsoft Azure, AI-tjänsten som skriver berättelserna.
• Google Gemini, som tittar på fotot en gång för att kunna måla porträttet, målar bokens bilder och läser sagan högt (ljudet).
• Amazon AWS, reserv som målar porträttet om Googles tjänst inte svarar.
• PostHog (EU), anonym statistik om hur appen används.

Ett foto eller en beskrivning kan behandlas på servrar i USA hos Google, Microsoft eller Amazon. Alla tre är anslutna till EU:s godkända ramverk för dataöverföring (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), som ger uppgifterna samma skydd som inom EU (detta kallas överföring till tredjeland). Den rättsliga grunden för att behandla uppgifter om ert barn är ert samtycke som förälder eller vårdnadshavare. Ni ger det samtycket med en kryssruta när ni skapar kontot, och ni kan ta tillbaka det när som helst genom att radera barnets profil eller kontot.

AI-innehåll

Berättelserna, illustrationerna och porträtten skapas med AI. Vi berättar det öppet, så att ni och barnet vet att det är datorn som har hjälpt till att rita och skriva.

Era rättigheter

Ni har rätt att se, rätta och radera uppgifterna om ert barn. Se och radera gör ni själva från ert konto; för rättelser mejlar ni oss på kevin@tale-forge.app. Är ni inte nöjda med vårt svar kan ni klaga hos Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se.

Lagring och gallring

Böckerna och barnets värld (hjälten, vännen och platserna som återkommer i böckerna) sparas så att resan kan fortsätta. När ni raderar barnets profil eller ert konto tas allt bort: namnet, beskrivningarna, porträttet, böckerna, ljudet och barnets värld. Vi inför också en automatisk städning av gamla oanvända uppgifter. Innan vi slår på den skriver vi här exakt hur länge saker sparas.

In short

We are Tale Forge AB, a small Swedish company in Värnamo (org. no. 559543-1122). We make personalised picture books for your child.

You tell us a first name, an age range and a language, and you can optionally describe how the hero looks and upload a photo. We use AI services to write and illustrate. You can see everything we hold and delete everything from your account. If something needs correcting, like a misspelt name, email us and we will fix it. We never sell your data.

What we collect

Your child's first name, an age band (a range, not a birthdate) and preferred language. The hero and friend descriptions you type. A photo you optionally upload (see below). The painted portrait and the finished books. Your email address, for logging in and reaching you. The audio narration of each story is saved with the book.

The photo

If you upload a photo it is sent once to Google (or Amazon as a backup) to paint a portrait. We never store the original photo on our servers, and under our agreements with Google and Amazon they may not keep the photo or use it to train their AI. What is kept is the finished painting, in your child's book.

You can try the portrait before you create an account. The photo is then sent once for painting and nothing is saved with us; it stays only on your own device until you are done. Only when you create an account and give your consent are the portrait and the book saved.

Who processes the data

A few companies help us behind the scenes (our sub-processors under GDPR):

• Supabase, database and storage (EU).
• Microsoft Azure, the AI service that writes the stories.
• Google Gemini, which looks at the photo once so it can paint the portrait, paints the book's pictures and reads the story aloud (the audio).
• Amazon AWS, a backup that paints the portrait if Google's service does not respond.
• PostHog (EU), anonymous statistics about how the app is used.

A photo or a description may be processed on servers in the United States by Google, Microsoft or Amazon. All three are certified under the EU's approved transfer framework (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which gives the data the same protection as inside the EU (this is called a third-country transfer). The lawful basis for processing your child's data is your consent as a parent or guardian. You give that consent with a checkbox when you create the account, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your child's profile or the account.

AI content

The stories, illustrations and portraits are generated with AI. We say so openly, so you and your child know a computer helped draw and write them.

Your rights

You have the right to see, correct and erase your child's data. Seeing and erasing you do yourself from your account; for corrections, email us at kevin@tale-forge.app. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Swedish data protection authority, IMY (imy.se).

Retention

The books and your child's world (the hero, the friend and the places that return in the books) are kept so the journey can continue. When you delete your child's profile or your account, everything is removed: the name, the descriptions, the portrait, the books, the audio and the child's world. We are also building an automatic clean-up of old unused data. Before we switch it on, we will state here exactly how long things are kept.
